It is claimed by many nutritionists that Sushi is one of the main reasons why Japanese people have the lowest incidence of obesity and heart disease. Now finally more and more are taking up Sushi as an alternative to junk foods.
Sushi has become increasingly popular a delicious but simple combination of rice soaked in rice wine and raw fish has become a massive favorite amongst American and European dinners a like. After all who can resist it enticing and delicate flavor which for some reason just isn’t the same with out firery wasabi paste.
Wasabe or Wasabi paste as many know it has more than just taste to offer the dinner. It might suprise you to learn that this hot and firery paste has almost magical powers with the ability to kill bacteria in fish … even if the fish may not be as fresh as it might be.
If you enjoy good food and have reasonably deep pockets sushi is a great choice. It is costly for a couple of reasons one the quality of fish required goes beyond what you might buy for other dishes and also the attention to detail goes beyond what would be required for most meals. The skill being in the knife work of preparing the sushi.
You could of course prepare your own sushi … You’ll need a good amount of time as the process cannnot be rushed and a high level of confidence with sharp knives. Maybe it is this combination of labor and skill that means most dinners either choose to buy ready prepared sushi or dine out at one of the number of eating places serving such food.
Get this, the trick is not in the fish, it’s in the art of cutting it. Although fresh fish is absolutely required to start with, there is only way to do it the sushi way. Experiment with doing it your way and see what happens to the fish. The fish slices will look soggy and grainy–it seems the fish has been abused.
There are no shortcuts on the rice either, It must be authentic Japanese sushi rice .. Uncle Bens simply won’t cut it. Another point to remember don’t confuse sushi with another japanese favorite sashimi . The main difference being the serving of rice. If you order sashimi and want rice make sure you order a bowl as it is not part of the dish.
Types of sushi are many, but with out exception all are served with rice. Most commonly know is the sushi roll or maki which is made using nori (seaweed) and served in slices of six parts. In addition there is nigiri or hand made sushi usually prepared in pairs. In addition to these more common types there is also pressed sushi (squares) or oshi, and bean curd sushi rolls or inarizushi.
Here are many more sushi styles. Saikuzushi, or festival sushi is an art form. Rice is tinted different colors, sectioned off and rolled. When it is sliced, complex images are created. Chirashizushi, or scattered sushi, is rice spread in a box or bowl with nine kinds of fish and vegetables scattered on top or mixed in with the rice. Chakinzushi is sushi rice in a thin omelet wrapper shaped and tied like a lady’s drawstring purse. Sometimes a single pea or small shrimp decorates the ruffled part of the wrapper.
Makezushi consist of sushi rice combined with vegetables, and seafood that has been molded into special bowls of square tins and covered with pieces of sliced omelet, shrimp and vegetables. Another variation on this theme is Fukusazushi where where the molded rice is wrapped in a sheet of omelet and then turned over to hide the joins and garnished with a ribbon of seaweed (nori) and ginger.
Lastly we have Temarizushi which are rice balls wrapped in thinly sliced marinated fish. Itadakimasu! (enjoy your meal)

If you're new here, you may first want to get a copy of my information and resources jam packed handbook on your right. Thanks for visiting!
Their marriage started off with her being a size 2. Two years later when their first child was born she was a size 14. Another two years later she blew up to a size 18. Rather than visiting the gym and losing the weight she gained during her pregnancy she fell into what most know as post partum depression. Instead of leaving his overweight and depressed wife, her husband continued to love her. Her body size from a size 2 to a size 18 was quite the shock to him and did not help in rocking their love life in the bedroom. Most of all, however, she felt least attractive to herself. By this time, however, she had given up caring.
Sounds familiar?
There seems to be little women can do when they are fighting a depression in addition to feeling imprisoned in a body they don’t want to be in. In fact, the slip-on shoes we resort to during our late stages in pregnancy now have become our favorite shoes, even long after the pregnancy is over.
By this time the excuses of caring for a small child keep you away from the gym, for good seeming reason. So you resort to diets and starving yourself - the weight has to come off somehow, even though we know that 95% of all diets fail. So we fall deeper and deeper into the hole of depression and the mountain of excuses soon seems to swallow us alive.
So there is no time for the gym, diets don’t work, perhaps you should leave the marriage? But what would happen if you did?
You realize that life would go on - with you being happy or unhappy - it goes on.
Here are 5 things that can help you get off to a great start to regain your health and re-ignite a new spark into your partnership:
1. Stop the excuses as to why you are not losing the weight. Instead, find positive reasons why you want to regain your sexy figure. You’ve been there before, you’ll get there again. There is no need to worry about losing all the weight by next week, just start somewhere and be consistent.
2. Do it for you and you only. I know it may be a motivation to lose weight for him, and you are in this together, however, getting in shape and getting healthy needs to be about you if you want it to last. You must want this badly enough. You are the one feeling uncomfortable and unhealthy, so do it for you. When your partner is physically attracted to you, no matter what you look like, it’s an added gift and the “cherry on top,” but it shouldn’t be your main focus.
3. Don’t be rebellious and do what I did and put your hands on your hips with a bad attitude: “He ought to love me for me not for what I look like.” I’m sure he loves you no matter what, but you also must learn that most men are stimulated by visuals (and are equally as turned off by them). That is part of the biological make-up and no matter how much you want to rebel against it, you’re only hurting yourself and him as well. Accept Mother Nature for what she has created and know that she works perfectly at all times, either with you or against you, the choice is yours.

Who wouldn’t want to get UGGs on sale? It’s nearly Christmas and a lot of people are definitely running after those UGGs that are quickly running out of stock. Even at this time though, many are still hoping they’d get a pair for a discount. That’s almost impossible at this point but UGGs don’t come cheap and everyone’s eyes are still peeled for a chance to get a price cut. Before you go out to look for one of these sales, there are some important things that you should have in mind.
- If you want real UGGs, it is always best and safest to save until you have just enough to get yourself a proper pair. It’s not easy to look for authentic UGGs that sell for a cheap price. The real ones always cost more because of their prime material quality. Once you can afford a pair of UGGs, you should head off to an official ugg online retailer or reputable shoe and department stores. Buying from these sources will help ensure that you never get fakes.
- Shopping in general, whether for UGGs or not, can become quite a headache at some particular times of the year. Everyone seems to be after the same thing as you and there’s just no helping that. UGGs are just about the most comfortable footwear for any season but most especially for winter.
The best way to get the best pair in the best possible way is to order or buy right before the snow starts to fall. If you don’t want to wear your UGGs in spring or in summer, then you can just let your pair of UGGs wait in your closet until winter.
- Be alert and quick if you want to get your pair on a sale. Be on the constant look out for online and offline sales and promos. Move slow and others will swoop in even before you can get your fingers on that fine suede. This can get a little tiring sometimes but who wouldn’t do almost anything for a pair of comfy sheepskin boots?
- Buying your UGGs online is more convenient that checking out actual stores and outlets one by one. You can simply sit in the comfort of your own home, make a few clicks and wait for your UGGs to get shipped to you. This doesn’t mean though that shopping online is always trouble free. In fact, shopping online can actually be a bit messy and frustrating.
There are many sites out there that sell only fakes. These actually look so real that buyers would have a hard time finding out just by looking that they are knock offs. You’d have to know the distinct characteristics of real UGGs so you don’t get tricked.
- Before placing your UGGs order online, make sure that you have thoroughly examined the site’s guidelines and policies. It would be better if they had a return policy so you can easily ask for a replacement.

If you’ve ever crossed the backcountry on an ATV, you know that off-roading is one of the most thrilling of all the extreme sports. You may also know that there’s no thrill to moving your ATV from your suburban garage to the back roads without the use of proper ATV ramps.
When it comes to choosing and using ATV ramps, some people are absolutely lost. There’s really no trick to using ramps, but it can take practice to get the procedure just right.
Here are some guidelines to prepare you and help you through the ATV ramping process. If you can follow these steps carefully, you should enjoy a fairly uneventful experience.
Buying the Right Ramps
Common sense is really the most common rule of thumb. Choose a ramp that is wider than your ATV. Take careful measurements BEFORE placing your order. Having said that, when buying wide-runner ramps, use the width of your ATV’s wheelbase as the reference of the ramp’s width. If you prefer a single-runner ramp, on the other hand, the width distance should be at least as wide as your tire.
Standard ATV ramp sizes are used on smaller pickup vehicles. Longer ramps are intended for larger trucks. Before paying for the ramp, be sure to check the capacity of the ramp and the load of your ATV. If you think that your ATV is heavier than the load capacity of the ATV ramp, consider the pairing of two ramps to enhance the overall load capability.
Using Your ATV Ramps
First Step: Find a flat and firm surface to park your truck. Make sure the truck or trailer bed is free of all materials and debris. Use the parking brake to secure your vehicle and trailer before you begin the ramping procedure.
Step Two: With the ramp secured on hard-packed ground, position it to the truck or trailer bed at the lowest angle possible. Connect the ramp to the truck or trailer bed. If you are using runners, make sure that the individual ramps are properly spaced to match your ATV’s wheelbase. Be sure that the ramp is secure and fits snug.
Step Three: Use safety cables to keep the ramp tightly supported against the trailer bed.
Fourth Step: Once again, check the current weight of your ATV, and compare it to the ramp’s load capacity. You can remove any heavy, excess gear from your ATV to prevent overloading. This will prevent possible damage to your ramp and ATV.
Fifth Step: Use a winch if you have one. There is no better way to bring your ATV safely up the ramp and on to the trailer or truck bed. Riding your ATV up the ramp is an option if you don’t have a winch, but you must ride slowly and cautiously with smooth acceleration.
This is the point when the worst accidents can happen, so don’t rush it. If you go too quickly or accelerate abruptly, you can fall off of the ramp or crash into the truck’s cab. Again, a winch is the safest means of ramping your ATV, particularly if you have no previous ramping experience.
Step Six: Secure your ATV. Once the ATV is loaded, carefully secure it to the truck bed or trailer.
It’s really quite simple to use ATV ramps, once you get the hang of it, but it does require a little practice. Follow each of these steps carefully, and have another person on hand to help whenever possible. Accidents happen quickly and without warning, and it’s important to have help available when you need it.
