Cuban cigars can be saved

All cigars dry up after a certain period of time if not cared for. Same law applies to Cuban cigars. Lets say you got a box of Cuban cigars, placed it in your house and went for a business trip. Once you come back, you realize that you forgot about your little beauties and when you run back to that secret place your find out that your Cuban cigars are literally dying.

Although you did place them in a humidor like a good boy, you didn’t re-energize your humidor that is essential for your cigars to stay in good shape. You realize all you have is a bunch of dried out cigars. You begin to wonder if your cigars will every be smokable again.

Lucky for you, their are several ways of bringing your cigars back from the dead. The idea is to hydrate your cigars back to life. You have to be really careful here because too much moisture can definitely expand your cigars to the max. The worst case scenario is that you finally decided to rehydrate your Cuban cigars but it was just not good enough and your Cuban cigars are gone to a better place. See just like everything in life has an expiration date, so do Cuban cigars. Once you get them, smoke them and you should worry about it ever again. Or if you want to share it with your friends than go get a portable humidor and take it with you. Forgetting about Cuban cigars in this way is no excuse at all.

Put your Cuban cigars in single plastic bags and seal them with cedar strips. This is almost an instant way to get the humidity right for your cigars so they can start coming back to life. You’ll notice that after a few days the color of the cigars would get a little darker. This shows that its working and now you have to step up your game and do something else to speed up the process and instill more life in your Cuban cigars.

If you’re wondering how to rehydrate cigar because of them totally drying out, the process is a lot different. You need to take a container of some sort that is able to be totally sealed. One of the most popular that is used is a Tupperware container but you need to pick one that is flat on the bottom and has plenty of surface space. Go to your local cigar store and pick up some cedar liners, which they will probably give you for free.

Recharge a portable humidor or table one and place the Tupperware in the humidor. Make sure the top is healed off completely. You can leave a little bit of opening in it but not too much. It is probably going to take you a month before your cigars get back in shape again so you can enjoy them.

Any doctor, nurse, surgeon or support staff that is working in a medical institution will immediately tell you that your lab coat is a vital part of your daily work. Especially if you are a researcher dealing with highly toxic chemicals that are being experimented with, you will find that your lab coat is an extremely fundamental component that is used to protect you from any accidents that might occur during your course of work.

If you have the impression that most lab coats are white, you might be surprised to know that today, there are lab coats available in any color your could possible want. Even though the color of the lab coat does not necessarily mean anything significant, colors are useful in differentiating the many roles that different individuals play in any large medical institution, whereby everyone can be identified by the color of their lab coats.

Traditionally, doctors are assigned the white lab coats, whereas other staff members, who assist the doctors, are normally assigned green or blue lab coats. However, it is important to note that different organizations will distribute the color of lab coats different, as there is no universal guideline to follow.

Apart from the many different colored lab coats available today, there are also many different types of lab coats being sold and distributed. Ranging from lab coats made of cotton, to polypropylene coats and even disposable ones, you can be sure of finding a lab coat that will be suitable to your specific requirements.

It is common practice for medical practitioners to take off their lab coats if it has gone through too much contamination, and even send it immediately to a specialized cleaning company that has the equipment to remove toxic substances from your contaminated lab coat. This is practice is very significant, as it prevents anyone from getting hurt as a result of exposure to the chemical substances that your lab coat might be stained with.

For lab coats that are severely contaminated, it is advisable for you to discard them immediately, and replace them with a new one. It is important to note, that these lab coats should be disposed of carefully, and not be mixed together with the rest of the common trash. Once again, this is to prevent further contamination, as the lab coats have already been contaminated with unwanted substances.

Another thing you will need to note, is that it is highly recommended that you wear your lab coat properly at all times. This usually means that you have your lab coat fully buttoned up or zipped, and always have your sleeves fully extended and covering your arms. If you do not wear your lab coat properly, it will not be able to protect you from any toxic chemical substances that might cause you harm.

These are just some of the reasons why a lab coat plays a vital role in any medical practitioner?s line of duty. As a result, you should always wear a lab coat whenever necessary, and never underestimate the amount of protection you get from it.

Ideas For A Great Cup Of Coffee Every Time

Sunday 18 May 2008 @ 11:04 am
by Eric Slarkowski

There used to be a time when the only coffee making device available was the lowly percolator. Prim and proper housewives would stare patiently as heating water till pressure forced it up a little tube and spilled over a basket full of beans.

No doubt it was interesting to watch but only if the coffee were that good. Boiling coffee and spilling the water over beans many times leads to the output of a brew less than the best.

Come 1970s and the whole scenario shifts. The drip procedure overtook the market; it was cheap, fast and even guaranteed an improved taste. A cup of beans kept in a plastic container over filter paper, a few minutes of just boiling water falling over the concoction and what do you have? a glass pot full of coffee.

When it was the 90s it was the espresso makers that were all over the place. The application of American intelligence coupled with European culture lowered the price without compromising with the taste. Boiled water is pressured forcefully through nicely crushed dark roast and in a few minutes what you get is a lip-smacking aromatic delight. They are available in multiple or single serve coffee machines.

Into this pour frothy milk for a latte or a cappuccino, determined by how much milk you put in relation to coffee. A sure fire improvement and the different kinds of espresso makers lead to wonderful trials in chemistry.

Coffee makers do not miss a chance to try out new methods. So they welcomed the French plunger too adding another name to the list that promotes the European culture. A rod made up of metal extends through the middle of a glass cylinder where it meets a handle. At another end is the filter, fitting perfectly inside the container.

Throw grounds inside the container and pour almost boiling water into it. Opposite to the drip procedure, the grounds steep till the plunger is pressed. What you get is a thick, dark brew dished out right from the maker.

One of the more sophisticated methods of brewing uses the vacuum brewer where there are two metal or glass bowls one on top of the other. Heating it makes water rise to the upper one, like the principle in the percolator method. Do way with the heat and when the beverage cools down a little a semi vacuum is created drawing hot water through the beans and into the lower container.

When sitting at table you can entertain your guests with making the brew right in front of their eyes which also guarantees a fresh cup of their favorite drink.

Quite obviously no method discussed here is really new most date back to centuries earlier. Turkey may have one of the oldest in the form of the Ibrik. Water is boiled in a copper or brass container with a grooved tongue and a long handle. For that strong flavor crushed coffee is put directly to the water and then served without any filtering.

Try one or the other for a wonderful cup of fresh coffee and whats more, they all focus on different components of the flavor. Experiment as much as you wish! You may discover that a lesson in history can be no less than a delicious taste journey.
